Governor Walz wants the Minneapolis rioting damages to be paid for by America’s taxpayers. Rep. Tom Emmer says this needs more study.
What is needed here is Not a study but the courage to stand for what is right. The law-abiding people of the 7th district were not the ones who refused to enforce the law and allow the rioting, looting, and vandalism to occur. It is time politicians take responsibility for their actions and decisions.
The first source for rebuilding funds ought to be Governor Walz and Mayor Frey’s bloated paychecks. The minority owners of small businesses were already victimized by the looters and the politicians who refused to enforce the law. Two wrongs do not make a right. Asking the law-abiding people of the 7th district to pay for the riots would be a second wrong.
